A so-called professional rider was filmed using a system of overflexion on his horse Watermill Scandic for a World Cup dressage qualifier in Denmark. This poor stallion could barely breathe and had a blue tongue hanging out of his mouth. No one stepped in and protested.

What a sad world.

You can see the video on Youtube. In cases like this you KNOW that the horse is simply an ‘IT’ being used for the riders gratification.

Quite a few people have been requesting Animal Communication Vouchers to give as presents this Christmas and it is a lovely idea. What an original and touching gift! Looking forward to working with all the animals over the next few months. I wonder if i shall find out what they all got from Santa?!?

Also, in April next year the wonderful Joanne Hull will be conducting a Animal Communication workshop in Nottinghamshire (details to be arranged) so keep an eye out and watch this space for confirmation of venue and date then book on it and start talking!

So some new mission statements need to be drawn up but as with all things it takes time and i am on a steep learning curve! So in time it’ll all be worked out but for now its still about taking ‘baby steps’.

In light of this i set up with the goal that 10% of my takings would go to the PDSA in order to help animals get much-needed treatment when they might otherwise have to go without. But i want to take it further than that.

Setting up as a Social Enterprise means that while i can take a wage from the business, any surplus money goes back into the social environment. Yup you got it, it means that any income after my wage will go to animal charities in order to help animals further.

As an example, if i were to earn £15,000 per annum but actually made £20,000 that would mean that £5,000 would go to animal causes.

OK so instead of making pure profit for myself, i am going to put that profit back to where it matters the most.

This is quite interesting as i am not aware of any other animal business (in my field) that does this, and when they charge in excess of 3 X the amount i do, well it makes you wonder what they do with all that money… Don’t get me wrong, they do a fantastic job and deserve what they earn, i just want to take it further.

The problem stems from the legal system. As a sole trader and the only person in the business it would appear that i cannot officially, as yet, trade as a Social Enterprise. It is geared towards bigger businesses and those in a very different field to mine.

So it is a long-term goal but one which i will keep aiming towards as the business grows.

As such I am now happy to announce that I will be providing Animal Communication as part of my services. Several things will need to be noted here however. The messages I give owners come directly from the animal so I have no input at all, I am simply the messenger. It is therefore important to understand that ANY changes made regarding the animal’s welfare after receiving information from myself is made entirely at the owners own risk. Obviously if I feel anything may be detrimental I would advise against it. Sometimes animals DO know best, sometimes they DON’T!

That said it could be an extremely useful tool in understanding your companions better. Imagine if your dog could actually TELL YOU where it hurts! Or if a horse could TELL YOU how it felt a training session/competition went! Or if your small animal/bird/reptile etc could TELL YOU it prefers this type of food over that/this sleeping area to that and the list goes on, the possibilities are endless!

But of course, imagine all the animals which are suffering, displaying fear and/or aggression, all the animals in rescue waiting day after day for a new home with the staff not knowing why it can’t find a home, imagine if those animals could TELL YOU what they were thinking and feeling…

A whole new world could open up…

You will learn all about the origins of Reiki, How to give Reiki to yourself, others and your animals. Plus you will learn valuable techniques which will allow you to practice confidently and get the most out of your attunement.

By having a distance healing session your companion can easily have many of the benefits of a ‘hands-on’ session. This can be great news for those of you who would find it difficult to get to me or vice versa. Give me a call if you think this would be useful and we can get the ball rolling.

How true this is! Billy has been on the BARF diet for nearly a year now and he is so happy, everything just keeps getting better and better for him.

My mums Westie (Teddy B, see the dogs page) has recently been put onto this diet and the change is remarkable! He is brighter, more alert and full of energy. He has lost excess weight without trying and his skin complaint (common to this breed) is slowly but surely clearing up. When before he’d do nothing but sleep all day now he wants to play ball and go for walks. It’s made such a difference to his life!

So why aren’t more people feeding the BARF diet? The main reason is simply that they do not know it exists! I’m shocked at how many people are unaware of it, even vets. You are probably asking what it is too if it’s not something you come across before.
